Summerlike feel ahead for Memorial Day weekend

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — We had another mainly cloudy day with breezy winds across the region. Isolated showers also moved through central Indiana during the afternoon hours.

Thursday night:

The stubborn cloud cover will continue through your Thursday night with breezy winds. A few spotty showers cannot be ruled out before sunset.

Lows bottom out in the upper 50s.

Friday:

Enjoy a much warmer day as we get to finally see a little bit of sunshine return in the afternoon hours after having a cloudy start to your Friday. Light isolated showers are possible throughout the day. Cloud cover will build back in by the nighttime hours.

Highs will rise into the mid 70s.

Memorial Day Weekend:

We get to enjoy a mild and dry start to your Saturday. However, it will turn very warm and muggy by the afternoon hours, which will lead way for the chance of a few isolated storms before sunset. We look to see our warmest temperatures of the year for Sunday with high temperatures in the mid 80s. Showers and storm chances will continue through Sunday and Memorial Day with the warm and muggy air mass still in place.

Highs will climb into the low to mid 80s.

8 Day Forecast:

Expect daily rain and storm chances through midweek next week. Our high temperatures look to stay above average through next week as well.
