Tracking Friday night’s storms

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — We had a very warm and humid Friday with scattered showers and storms early in the day.

Friday night:

Showers and storms are possible tonight and through the overnight hours. Some storms could be strong to severe mainly north of interstate 70.

A Slight Risk of severe weather is in place north of the Lafayette-Kokomo line. A Marginal Risk is in place for the northern half of central Indiana. Main threats are damaging winds and hail with heavy downpours and frequent lightning.

Lows will only fall into the low 70s.

Saturday:

Have the rain gear handy as we look to see several rounds of showers and storms throughout your Saturday. Isolated strong to severe storms are possible in the afternoon hours.

A Marginal Risk of severe weather is in place for all of central Indiana for isolated damaging winds and hail.

We will have a warm and muggy day overall with highs in the mid 80s.

Sunday:

Showers are likely for our Sunday with isolated storms possible. Isolated strong storms are possible mainly east of Indianapolis.

Highs will stick around in the mid 80s, but it will continue to be muggy.

8 Day Forecast:

An active week is ahead with daily rain and storm chances as we exit June and enter July next Wednesday. We will also have a much warmer week with high temperatures in the upper 80s to possibly low 90s.
