Warm for Friday, rain chances to return
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A mild to warm Thursday has been the story across the state with lots of sunshine.
Thursday night:
Another clear and cool night is ahead as we will dip into the low 50s. Areas to the north will fall into the mid to upper 40s.
Friday:
Prepare for another warm day to end the work week. Mostly sunny skies and breezy winds from the south will help our high temperatures reach the low to mid 80s.
Weekend:
We will remain dry and on the warmer side for our Saturday with highs topping out in the upper 70s. A slight cool-down will be in place for Sunday with highs only rising into the low 70s. Rain chances look to return to the forecast Sunday night as moisture from a tropical system (Delta) will make its way towards the state. Areas south of interstate 70 may even see some showers late Saturday.
8 Day Forecast:
Rain chances will continue into next Monday. A stray shower chance can’t be ruled out for next Thursday. Temperatures will continue to remain above normal through most of next week.
