Active weather continues, warmup ahead

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Scattered showers developed across the state throughout our Wednesday as we continued our mild and humid pattern. We are tracking additional waves of showers and storms going into our Thursday.

Wednesday night: Rain chances will continue to increase as we get past sunset. There is also the possibility of isolated storms.

A slightly warmer night is ahead with lows dipping into the low to mid 60s.

Thursday: Have the rain gear handy as rain is likely through the morning hours. Coverage looks to become more sporadic going into Thursday afternoon with on and off development.

Despite a wet start to the day, we will still warm-up into the mid 70s for our afternoon high temperatures.

Friday: The activity rolls on into our Friday with on and off showers and storms throughout the day. Highs will once again top out in the mid 70s.

8-Day Forecast: Activity will finally push out of our area just in time for the weekend. Expect a warm and mainly dry weekend with highs in the low 80s. Rain chances will quickly return to start the new workweek. Above average temperatures stick around through the extended forecast.
