Cooling trend ahead

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — After another afternoon of feeling like closer to summer weather, we are tracking a gradual cooldown for the remainder of the week and into the weekend. As we cool down, rain and storm chances will return.

Wednesday night: Another pleasant night will be on tap under mostly clear skies. Lows will bottom out in the upper 50s.

Thursday: Slightly cooler temperatures will move into the state for our Thursday. Abundant sunshine and dry air is set to remain in place as highs rise into the upper 70s to low 80s to close out the month of September.

Friday: A fantastic Friday is ahead as we walk into the first day of October. Plenty of sunshine and comfortable air will help with us feeling pleasant. Highs will top out in the upper 70s.

8-Day Forecast: Have the rain gear handy for the upcoming weekend as rain chances return Saturday afternoon. Showers and isolated storms will remain possible through Sunday and Monday. Cooler air will also continue to settle into the state with highs dropping into the low 70s by next Monday.
