Unsettled weather returns this week

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — After a gorgeous stretch of weather, heat and humidity return this week, along with chances for showers and thunderstorms.

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy skies are expected, along with warmer temperatures compared to the cool, fall-like nights we experienced this past week. Lows will only drop into the mid-60s.

SUNDAY: A more humid day to wrap up the weekend. A stray thunderstorm is possible, mainly in far southern portions of the state. Otherwise, expect partly cloudy skies with high temperatures reaching the upper 80s.

SUNDAY NIGHT: Clouds will be on the increase tomorrow night. Isolated thunderstorms are possible, especially by the morning hours. It will be a very uncomfortable night, as lows will only drop to around 70 degrees.

MONDAY: A very warm and humid start to your workweek. It will feel tropical outside, with scattered showers and thunderstorms. High temperatures will remain in the upper 80s, with high heat index values into the 90s.

8-DAY FORECAST: An unsettled week of weather is ahead, with chances for scattered showers and thunderstorms throughout the workweek. Temperatures will stay in the 80s all week, with high humidity values. Chances for precipitation look to diminish by late week heading into the weekend. Certainly a stretch of weather much more typical for August this week.
