Warm Wednesday, then rain chances return

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Another marvelous spring day is in the books across the state as warm temperatures and breezy winds stuck around throughout our Tuesday.

Tuesday night: A mild and dry night is ahead under mostly clear skies. Winds will become light as we dip into the mid 50s for our low temperatures.

Wednesday: We will continue our warm weather trend as clouds and winds will pick up over the course of our Wednesday. Spotty showers and isolated storms are possible during the afternoon hours. Showers will become scattered by the evening commute with light rain lingering into the overnight hours.

Highs will be near record numbers once again as we will rise into the upper 70s. Indy’s record high for April 7th is 83° set back in 2001.

Thursday: Have the umbrella on hand for your Thursday as rain showers will be on and off throughout the day. Cooler and windy conditions will also be in place along with the rain. Highs will top out in the upper 60s.

8 Day Forecast: We look to work in a brief break from the rain for Friday afternoon with a gradual cooling trend into Saturday. Daily chances for rain and storms will be in place through Monday morning. Highs will remain above average through the extended forecast.
