Annual Chocolate Sunday fundraiser raises money for dementia research, support programs

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Alzheimer’s Association Greater Indiana Chapter’s Chocolate Sunday event!

This event raises funds for dementia research and support programs.

Laura Forbes of the Alzheimer’s Association of Greater Indiana Chapter joined us today to share more about the event.

Chocolate Sunday is being held at a different location this year, the Scottish Rite Cathedral in downtown Indianapolis on Sunday, Nov. 7 from 9:30 a.m. – noon.

The event will include a campaign brunch complete with chocolate, an auction and Fund the Mission, where attendees are invited to donate toward the mission.

Precautions such as masks and physical distancing will be taken, and an option to participate from home is available.

In 2020, Chocolate Sunday raised a record $278,000, despite being a virtual-only event.

Funds raised during the event support the care and research programs of the Alzheimer’s Association.
