City of Carmel to host inaugural Roundabout Ride

Get your blood pumping with the inaugural Roundabout Ride in Carmel!

The City of Carmel and Bike Carmel will be hosting the inaugural Roundabout Ride on Saturday, September 25 at 8 a.m., sponsored by IU North Hospital.

Kevin W. Whited, transportation development coordinator for the City of Carmel ,and Matt Tanner of the suicide prevention non-profit benefiting from event, joined us today with what we can expect from the event.

This fun event will have two distance options, 25 miles and 50 miles; the costs will be $45 for the 25-mile option and $65 for the 50-mile option. $5 of each registration will be donated to the Rollfast Foundation for suicide prevention.

The routes will be capped at 100 riders for the 25-mile ride and 50 for the 50-mile ride so register as soon as possible as these events will fill up quickly.

The Roundabout Ride will begin and end in Midtown Plaza where a post-ride meal will be provided with music and a complimentary beer from Sun King Brewing Company.

The roads will be open to vehicle traffic for the duration of the ride and the Carmel Police Department will be stationed at strategic points along the route to manage traffic and safety.

Registration: 7 – 7:45 a.m.
Ride Begins: 8 a.m.
Ride Time: 8 a.m. – noon
