Indiana State Fair: Randy goes on a ‘Dino Stroll, ‘Amber visits Paul Bunyan Lumber Jack Show, more

Today was our last visit to the Indiana State Fair, so we had to make sure it was full of fun! Randy Ollis made a new Llama friend at Animal Town, visited some life-sized animatronic dinosaurs at the Dino Stroll, and Amber got a look at the ax-throwing and log rolling that goes on at the Paul Bunyan Lumber Jack Show.

Animal Town

Animal Town is located in the Family Fun Park at the Indiana State Fair. Open 9am to 8pm daily. This Interactive Animal Experience with beef and dairy cattle, chickens, goats, draft horses, llamas, rabbits, sheep and swine gives visitors a chance to see all of the animals that are shown during the fair and learn more about the animals and the farmers who raise them.   Animal Town is just East of the Little Hands on the Farm.

Dino Stroll

New to the Indiana State Fair! Don’t miss your chance to see this life-sized, animatronic T-Rex standing over 25 feet tall and spanning over 60 feet long with an enormous T-Rex ROAR! A roaming Velociraptor AND a dinosaur egg that you can climb inside for photos will join the T-Rex this week (August 18-22) in Hoosier Spirit Park.

Pioneer Village

Pioneer Village steps you back in time to see what farming was like in Indiana in the 1800s.  Music, vintage farm equipment, and locally made food and gift items can be found. Plus if you are lucky, you’ll run into a Story Teller or two.

Paul Bunyan Lumberjack Show

Filled with action-packed competition and lots of laughs, it’s the Paul Bunyan Lumberjack Show! The show feature quality lumberjack competitors known throughout the world for their strength, skill, and athletic ability. Stop by the WGU Indiana Parklet to see them compete in events like log rolling and axe throwing. Shows start at 12:30, 2:00, 3:30, 5:30, and 7:00 PM daily.
