18-time Grand Slam singles champion Chris Evert is coming to Indianapolis to participate in a fundraiser for domestic violence survivors.
Tennis and Tastings is the first annual fundraiser for The Julian Center, which is the largest organization supporting victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and other life crises in Indiana. The Julian Center touches the lives of over 6,000 Hoosier survivors each year and empowers them to recover and build a life for themselves and their families absent of abuse.
Catherine O'Connor, President of The Julian Center, explains how it costs $11,000 per day to keep services available for survivors and their families, so fundraisers, such as Tennis and Tastings, gives them an opportunity to reach out to the community about how they can help save lives and rebuild lives for survivors.
Scott Campbell Custom Design Builders is title sponsor of the event, and Scott himself has met Chris Evert on multiple occasions and stayed in touch with the tennis icon to bring her along for the fundraiser.
