2 shot on city’s northeast side, suspect on the run

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Two people were shot on the northeast side of Indianapolis Tuesday afternoon.

According to IMPD, two people were found shot in the 1800 block of Holloway Avenue around 1:45 p.m. That’s near Rural Street and Roosevelt Avenue.

Neither person has life-threatening injuries, IMPD says.

Police say they were in the area serving an unrelated search warrant when they heard gunshots. The officers went around the corner and found two people shot.

Investigators believe the shooting happened down the street to the south. The victims were driven to the 1800 block of Holloway for an unknown reason.

IMPD said they were looking for a suspect. A description of the suspect has not been released.
