How to make Gracie’s Gingersnaps

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — If you’re looking for the perfect bite of the holidays that goes great with coffee, try these delicious Gingersnaps from Annessa’s niece, Chef Gracie!

Every time Gracie makes these, she gets requests for the recipe, and now it’s yours.

Ingredients


2-1/4 cups flour
2-1/2 teaspoons ground ginger
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
3/4 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
2 teaspoons vanilla
1/4 cup molasses 

1. In a bowl, combine flour, ginger, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg.
2. In a medium bowl, beat butter on low for 30 seconds. Add sugar and beat until fluffy. Add eggs, vanilla and molasses, beating well.
3. Stir in dry ingredients and shape into balls about 1-1/2 inches each. Roll in extra sugar and place on a cookie sheet.
4. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit from 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned.
