Amber Alert canceled for abducted mother, child

UPDATE 3:38 p.m.: The Amber Alert has been canceled after the mother and child were both located safely, according to the Hammond Police Department.

HAMMOND, Ind. (WISH) – The Hammond Police Department has declared an Amber Alert for the abduction of a child and mother.

According to police, two-month-old Raphael Bevineau and his mother 20-year-old Yolanda Walker, were last seen at 7 p.m. in Hammond, Indiana.

Bevineau is described as:

  • One feet, eight inches tall
  • Brown wavy hair
  • Green eyes
  • Dimple in his chin
  • Child’s clothes is unknown

Walker is described as:

  • Five feet, four inches tall
  • Brown hair
  • Hazel eyes
  • Last seen wearing a white t-shirt and Grinch pajama pants
  • Has birthmark under one eye

Police said the two are believed to be in extreme danger.

The Hammond Police Department said they believe the child and mother were taken by the child’s non-custodial father Ralph Bevineau.

The suspect vehicle is a gold Chevy, Trailblazer or similar type of SUV.
