Cooler temperatures, storms on the way

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Cooler temperatures are on the way, along with a risk for severe weather on Thursday.

Tuesday night:
Cooler air sinks in overnight, with skies becoming partly cloudy. Lows with fall in the 40s across the state with breezy winds.

Cloud coverage increases throughout Wednesday with temperatures struggling to get in the low 60s.

Isolated rain showers will develop around the afternoon, bringing light rain mostly to areas north of I-70. Winds remain breezy overnight Wednesday with lows in the 50s. 

Scattered showers will work in throughout Thursday afternoon. Temperatures will be much warmer with highs in the mid 70s.

Strong isolated thunderstorms will develop in the evening with the potential for some to become severe.

We are under a slight risk for severe weather, with a chance for isolated severe storms Thursday evening.

Strong winds and heavy downpours will be the greatest threat with these storms.

8-day Forecast: 
Over this weekend, temperatures will be cooler than average with highs in the 50s. More showers and scattered storms push through Saturday night with showers likely continuing into Sunday.
