ISDH: More than 3,000 Hoosiers now dead from COVID-19

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – On Saturday, the Indiana State Department of Health announced 1,010 new COVID-19 cases and 9 additional deaths.

The new COVID-19 cases are from between Aug. 5 and Aug. 21 while the newly reported deaths are from between Aug. 19 and Aug. 21.

In total, there are 85,317 COVID-19 cases and 3,001 deaths related to the virus in Indiana.

According to the department, there have been 1,258,884 tests administered.

According to the Center for Systems Science and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University, there have been more than 22,998,000 confirmed cases worldwide, with more than 14, 762,000 recoveries and more than 800,000 deaths.
