Google releases ‘street view ocean’
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Google released an underwater street view for World Oceans Day, Tuesday, allowing people to look at the ocean, underwater.
The map allows viewers to explore and experience 40 locations around the world, with the click of a button.
It also shows marine life and sunken ships.
There are over 40 underwater locations, which include:
- The Great Barrier Reef in Australia
- Bali
- American Samoa
- The Bahamas
Google partnered with The Catlin Seaview Survey, a scientific study of the world’s reefs. The company used a specially designed underwater camera, the SVII, to capture the photos.
