IHS introduces new workshop to teachers

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Indiana Historical Society (IHS) is providing a new workshop for teachers to help bring technology into social studies classrooms, as well as to help teachers address difficult topics.

The program is New Technology Tools for Teaching Challenging Topics. It took place Thursday, July 21 at the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center.

The program included:

  • A joint presentation with the Bureau of Jewish Education’s Holocaust Education Center of Indiana;
  • The use of www.Destination-Indiana.com, website used to telling Indiana’s stories;
  • Participants met with a middle school teacher whose students use Google Cardboard, web design, interactive timelines, etc.
