IMPD: Person injured in east side shooting

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A person was taken to an Indianapolis hospital Thursday after a shooting on the east side.

It happened in the 9100 block of East 36th Street, near North Post Road, around 12:10 p.m.

Officials with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department say the victim was shot by suspects in a vehicle. That person was struck by gunfire in their thigh.

Medics transported the victim to IU Health Methodist Hospital in an unknown condition.

Police haven’t released a detailed description of the suspect vehicle.
