MARKLE, Ind. (WISH) — A man was killed in a crash Friday evening on I-69 near Markle, Indiana State Police said.

Michael Tuffs, 60, of Fort Wayne, was southbound on the interstate around 6:30 p.m. when his vehicle, a 2002 silver Porsche, experiencing a left rear tire blowout.

Police believe that the blowout caused Tuffs to lose control of his vehicle. The car crashed into the rear of a semi-tractor trailer, then crashed into the center median cables.

Upon arrival, officers found Tuffs unresponsive in his vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Huntington County coroner.
