INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A downtown Indianapolis entertainment venue is getting a new name.

The venue at White River State Park will now be known as The TCU (Teachers Credit Union) Amphitheater at White River State Park, according to Live Nation.

Previously known as The Amphitheater at White River State Park, the venue has undergone major renovations last couple of years.

Upgrades to the facility include a canopy covering fixed seating, a permanent stage, more restrooms and two new LED video walls.

“We are absolutely thrilled to welcome visitors to the newly-named TCU Amphitheater at White River State Park,” said Carolene Mays-Medley, executive director for the White River State Park Development Commission. “Our summer concert serious in partnership with Live Nation, has always been a welcomed community staple and we are thrilled to enhance this experience for all of our visitors. Our newly renovated state of the art complex is sure to bring more leading live performances and entertainment options that we have all come to know and enjoy. We are grateful to all who have contributed to bringing this vision for the Amphitheater to fruition.”

Since opening in 2004, the downtown venue has seen a wide range of artists take its stage such as Bob Dylan, Post Malone, Kendrick Lamar and Huey Lewis.
