Great Day TV: Beating the winter blues

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The holiday season is a time that brings many people happiness. However, experts stress that it can be a very difficult time of year, too.

The host of Great Day TV, Patty Spitler, stopped by with her guest Julie Hayden, who is the executive director of the National Alliance on Mental Illness in Indianapolis.

Spitler, who is an advocate and a spokesperson for the organization, talked about the importance of mental health.

Additionally, they discussed how many people experience Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) and the number of people who say the holiday season made their symptoms from mental illness.

Also, they discussed what to do and where to go in order to get help.
