I-465 ramp closure, lane restrictions to begin on Indy’s west side

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Bridge work is expected to begin Thursday night, which will cause lane restrictions on 1-465 on Indy’s west side.
The Indiana Department of Transportation says crews will shift and restrict traffic at the following locations:
- Thursday at 9 p.m.: Crews will shift I-465 southbound traffic to the right on bridges over U.S. 136 and Big Eagle Creek.
- Friday at 7 p.m.: Crews will restrict I-465 southbound through traffic to three lanes.
- Friday at 7 p.m.: Crew will close the I-74 eastbound to the northbound ramp.
INDOT says these restrictions will allow crews to complete a thin deck overlay. Work is expected to be completed by 6 a.m. Monday.
