Pike Township police officer arrested

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A Pike township police officer was arrested on preliminary charges of driving while intoxicated on Wednesday.

Brian Hedger, 31, Camby was pulled over after being clocked driving 113 mph in a 55 mph driving zone while weaving through traffic.

He refused to comply with field sobriety tests and refused a certified blood chemical test.

He was transported to the Marion County Adult Processing Center where a warrant was issued for a blood draw.

He complained of difficulty breathing and was transported to Eskenazi Hospital for treatment.
