What’s closed, what’s open for Bush funeral
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH/AP) – Federal government offices and financial markets will be closed Wednesday for the funeral of former President George H.W. Bush.
The New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq said over the weekend that they will close trading Wednesday in observance of a national day of mourning for Bush.
With the closing of the federal government, mail delivery will be suspended except for limited package delivery. Also, the Supreme Court will delay arguments until Thursday.
Indiana government offices will be open Wednesday. The governor will not be attending Bush’s funeral.
The town of Whitestown has announced its offices will be closed Wednesday.
