Colts won’t practice; team to discuss ‘lasting social impact’
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Indianapolis Colts will not practice on Thursday as the team takes a stand against racial injustice.
In a tweet, the organization announced that the team “will use the day to discuss and work toward making a lasting social impact and inspiring change in our communities.
The announcement comes a day after many professional games were canceled. Players are protesting the shooting of Jacob Blake by a police officer in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
The boycotts started when the Detroit Lions canceled practice on Tuesday. On Wednesday, the Milwaukee Bucks refused to take the court against the Orlando Magic for a first round playoff matchup.
