Active weather trend ahead

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — We did not experience a pleasant start to the new workweek. Temperatures remained on the cold side with breezy winds and cloudy skies.

Monday night: Skies will eventually break apart overnight with the winds dying down. Lows will dip into the low 20s.

Tuesday: A warmer day is expected with cloud cover slowly building back in. We can’t rule out snow showers towards northern Indiana late Tuesday.

Highs will rise into the mid to upper 30s.

Wednesday: We will see our next weather system move in by Wednesday, bringing rain chances back into the forecast. Rain will occur throughout the day and continue into the nighttime hours.

Highs will surge into the upper 40s to low 50s.

8 Day Forecast: The extended forecast is a tricky one as we end the year on Thursday and going into New Year’s Day on Friday. Details surrounding precipitation types will likely evolve over time. We are looking at the potential for mixed precipitation to swing in Thursday morning before more rain slides in Thursday night and continues into Friday. Quiet conditions will return by the weekend.
