Tracking Tuesday’s storms

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — After a stretch of warm and pleasant days across the state, we will have a strong front move in late Tuesday, bringing showers and storm chances.

Monday night:

After another record-breaking day for high temperatures, we will have an increase in clouds ahead of our next system.

Lows will only dip into the upper 50s to low 60s for what will be a mild night.

Tuesday:

Expect mainly cloudy skies throughout your Tuesday with breezy winds kicking in. Isolated showers will develop Tuesday afternoon from the south before a line of showers and storms pushes in from the west. Isolated strong to severe storms are not out of the question Tuesday evening and night.

There is currently a Marginal Risk for damaging winds in northwestern Indiana. However, things can still change, so be sure to keep an eye on the latest developments with this system.

Highs will top out in the mid 70s as we will also have higher humidity values.

Wednesday:

A few lingering showers are possible into the Wednesday morning commute. We will dry out as a drastic change with our temperatures will take place. Highs will only rise into the mid to upper 50s, and this will be roughly 20° cooler than we have been running lately.

8 Day Forecast:

We look to be dry for the remainder of the workweek with near normal temperatures. Spotty showers are possible Saturday before we dry out and warm-up Sunday.
