Warming up with rain chances and another cooldown to follow
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — We’re tracking a warmup through midweek with rain chances, windy conditions, and a cooldown to follow.
Tuesday night: We’re in for a very cold and clear night with temperatures droppng into the upper teens to low 20s.
Wednesday: Much warmer air will arrive for our Wednesday as winds shift to come out of the south. These southerly winds along with abundant sunshine will help temperatures push into the upper 40s to low 50s. Cloud cover will partially increase in the second half of the day. Skies will become mostly cloud by Wednesday night ahead of our next rain chance.
Thursday: The warming trend continues into Thursday as we begin to see our next weather system move in. Rain showers will develop Thursday afternoon and persist on and off into the nighttime hours. Winds will become breezy again with gusts up to 30-35 MPH by Thursday night. Highs will rise into the mid 50s.
8-Day Forecast: Shower chances will linger into the first half of Friday with winds becoming even stronger. Wind gusts could reach 35-40 MPH at times throughout the day as well. Highs in the upper 40s to low 50s will occur Friday morning before temperatures decrease for the remainder of the day. Cold air returns for the weekend with breezy winds set to last through Saturday and Sunday. Another warmup looks to settle in by early next week.
