Beautiful weekend ahead

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Although we had a cooler afternoon across a good chunk of the state, we kept muggy air around through part of our Friday. A cold front will continue to pass through the state for the remainder of the day and spark some rain and storms. This frontal passage will lead way for a fantastic weekend!

Friday night: Scattered showers and storms will continue to move out of the state over the next few hours. A couple of strong to severe storms cannot be ruled out before sunset with damaging winds and hail being the main hazards. This threat stretches from a Kokomo-Terre Haute line to the southeast.

After several uncomfortable nights, a much more pleasant night will be on tap for us. Lows will bottom out in the low to mid 60s.

Saturday: We are looking at a magnificent weather day for our Saturday. Partly sunny skies and comfortable air will help aid in a great day to have any outdoor activities, especially if you’re heading out to events such as the Indiana State Fair. Highs will only top out in the upper 70s to low 80s.

Sunday: The pleasant weather train is set to roll on through our Sunday! Plenty of sunshine and refreshing air will stick around as we once again rise into the upper 70s to low 80s.

8 Day Forecast: Slightly warmer temperatures look to move into the state for the start of next week. Highs will reach the low to mid 80s through much of the week. With this slight warmup, daily storm chances will be in place through the end of the week.
