Rain chances return late Wednesday

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — We will work in one more above average afternoon before rain chances and cooler air return to the forecast.

Tuesday night: A few passing clouds will stick around as we work in a slightly warmer night. Lows will bottom out in the upper 40s.

Wednesday: The above average temperature trend continues with winds picking up a little bit. Cloud cover will also increase as well, which will lead way for returning rain and storm chances. Scattered showers and isolated storms look to develop well after sunset.

Highs will rise into the low 70s.

Thursday: Showers and isolated storm chances will continue into the early morning hours of our Thursday.

Cooler air will move into the state once the system moves out. Highs look to top out in the mid 60s.

8-Day Forecast: The cooling trend will persist into the end of the workweek. Near average temperatures are expected throughout the weekend with highs in the low 60s. Rain chances look to return for Sunday and linger into the start of next week.
