Unsettled air to return

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Another hazy day is in books for us as skies remained on the partly cloudy side. We will flip towards a hot and humid pattern with rain and storm chances returning as we close out the week.

Thursday night: It will be a warm night as we feel more humid air settling in after sunset. Lows will bottom out in the mid to upper 60s.

Friday: Rain and storm chances are set to return for our Friday after having a mostly quiet week. Isolated to scattered showers and storms look to develop mainly in our northern counties in the mid to late morning hours. Then, extra development will scoot towards interstate 70 by the afternoon hours.

Highs will top out in the mid 80s. You will feel more uncomfortable during Friday afternoon if your outdoors as the humidity values will go up a bit.

Weekend: It will not be a picture perfect weekend for us as sweltering conditions are expected for Saturday and Sunday. A few showers and storms are possible Saturday afternoon and night. Additional storm chances are in play for Sunday. Highs will climb into the upper 80s for Saturday, and then we could have our first 90° day for the month of July on Sunday.

8 Day Forecast: Storm chances are in place through Monday before we dry out by Tuesday. We will also continue our hot weather pattern through much of the extended forecast. Humidity values will stick around on the higher side as well.
