Police seeking suspect in March fatal hit-and-run

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is looking for a suspect in a fatal hit-and-run from March 21.

Detectives have obtained an arrest warrant 55-year-old Jesus Cardenas for leaving the scene of an accident causing death.

According to IMPD, Cardenas is believed to be the driver of the car that struck and killed 32-year-old Maurice Hamler.

Hamler was struck while driving his motorcycle in the 9400 block of East 38th Street.

Detectives were able to locate the car involved in the accident and link Cardenas as the driver.
