Your guide to The Rolling Stones concert at IMS

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – One of the biggest bands of all time will be at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Saturday.

If you’ll be at The Rollings Stones’ show, there’s some things you need to know beforehand. According to track officials, once you’re inside the IMS gates, you won’t be allowed to exit and re-enter.

The concert will be held rain or shine. If there’s lightning, IMS officials say staff will assess the situation and how best to handle it depending on weather conditions. If the show needs to be postponed, guests can redeem their tickets on the day the concert is rescheduled.

Coolers, chairs and umbrellas won’t be allowed inside the gates but guests can bring blankets and cushions. IMS officials say one factory sealed water bottle up to 1 gallon is allowed inside.

Average sized backpacks are also permitted through the gates. All bags must be smaller than 18″ x 14″ x 14″ in size and will be checked at each pedestrian gate. Officials recommend guests arrive early to allow for inspection time. You can catch a shuttle between the concert area and VIP Turn 2 Suites.

The following items are permitted inside the IMS:

  • Binoculars and cameras (without detachable lenses)
  • Strollers
  • Blankets (Queen size or smaller)
  • Bicycles
  • Mobility aids used by guests with disabilities are allowed. (Guests are responsible for securing unattended wheelchairs and scooters. IMS reserves the right to restrict any device based on size or other consideration.)

The following items are NOT permitted inside the IMS:

  • Weapons, including firearms and ammunition, of any kind
  • Fireworks and flares
  • Camera stands (tripods, monopods, “selfie sticks,” etc.) are allowed in the facility as long as they do not cause a safety hazard nor obstruct the view of others
  • Food and beverages
  • Unmanned aerial vehicles, commonly known as a drones and also referred to as remotely piloted aircrafts and similar remote controlled devices
  • Chairs of any kind
  • Umbrellas
  • Cameras with a detachable lense
  • Animals (except service animals assisting guests who are disabled)
  • Roller blades, skateboards, skates and scooters
  • Golf carts
  • Carts and wagons
  • Coolers
  • Glass containers
  • Scaffolds or platforms
  • Illegal drugs
  • iPads
  • Any other item not mentioned that may pose a safety hazard.

  • 4 p.m. IMS gates and all parking lots – interior and exterior – open
  • 6:45 p.m. Saints of Valory
  • 8 p.m. Rascal Flatts
  • 9 p.m. The Rolling Stones
  • 11:30 p.m. Massive fireworks show
  • 12 a.m. IMS gates close
