INDIANAPOLIS (Inside INdiana Business) — Two law firms in Indianapolis are joining forces in what they’re calling a strategic alliance. SmithAmundsen and Brannon Sowers & Cracraft say the alliance will serve as “an essential driver in leveraging the development of new business opportunities.”

The firms say the partnership will also expand their collective reach. The clients of each firm will be able to access the other’s service capabilities, according to SmithAmundsen.

“This move presents the best of both worlds; each firm utilizing the resources of the other while retaining its own identity,” Stephen Stitle, chief operating officer for SmithAmundsen said in a news release. “It’s a key step in our efforts to provide clients of both firms with broader legal services.”

SmithAmundsen is a full-service business law firm with several offices throughout the Midwest, including Indianapolis. Brannon Sowers & Cracraft was founded in Indy and serves as a boutique intellectual property, business and litigation law firm.

Brannon Sowers & Cracraft CEO John Brannon says having access to SmithAmunden’s firm of attorneys will enable his firm to “provide the array of legal services demanded of sophisticated clients.”
