Heartstrings Country Music concert benefits Indiana Children’s Wish Fund

Today we heard from an organization making kids’ wishes come true. J’Lynn Cooper, Executive Director of Indiana Children’s Wish Fund, joined us to tell us all about Avery Leck, an 11 year old who was granted the wish of a lifetime.

Avery was granted a camper and she absolutely loved it. Indiana Wish Fund has been granting wishes to kids in Indiana who have life-threatening illnesses since 1984.

To keep the wishes coming, there will be a benefit concert called Heartstrings Country Music Benefit on September 11 and 12. Gates open at the Marion County Fairgrounds at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m. The concert will benefit the Indiana Children’s Wish Fund and the Emerald Society of The Indianapolis Fire Department.
