Comedian Sonya White to perform in Indy Labor Day weekend

Add city-wise street smarts to southern charm and you get comedian Sonya White who will be at Crackers Comedy Club this weekend.

She stopped by Indy Style this morning to let us know what you can expect from her show and to catch us up on what she’s been doing during the pandemic.

Bio: White’s show has won her multiple appearances on Star Search (CBS), promo spots on Last Comic Standing (NBC), featured role and national tour in Southern Fried Chicks (CMT), nomination for ‘Best Female Performer’ by Campus Activities Magazine, appearance on ‘Girls Behaving Badly’ (Oxygen), on ‘Comedy Spotlight Roadtrip’ (Comcast), and performances at the ‘U.S. Comedy Arts Festival’ (HBO, E!, Comedy Central).

White’s comedy is peppered with spot-on impersonations and sound effects. Her stand up comedy show and her one woman show ‘Airing Dirty Laundry’ are based on real life experiences, interactions with friends & family, and hilarious reflections of the world at large. In addition to those mentioned previously, her TV credits also include a ‘Spring Break’ promo (MTV), late night’s ‘Night Shift’ (Fox), a very colorful character on ‘The Jerry Springer Show’, an appearance on ‘Big Brother Jake” (Family Channel), and voice-work for ’Pick Your Shorts’ (Cartoon Network).

White is a member of the Screen Actor’s Guild  and the American Federation of Television & Radio Artists. Sonya has also gone international, as a featured comedian with Verizon’s  ‘Fun & Games’ app in 60 countries.

You can see White at Cracker’s Comedy Club from September 3rd to the 5th at 8pm.
