Gary, Indiana native Ray Uriel competing on ‘The Voice’
R&B/Soul Pop artist, Rashawn “Ray Uriel” Mills, has made his TV debut in NBC’s hit singing competition “The Voice.”
Uriel sang a beautiful song called “Glimpse of Us” by Joji, for coaches Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, Niall Horan, and Chance The Rapper. He recently advanced with a win in the battle rounds singing Donny Hathaway’s version of “Jealous Guy.”
He joined us on Wednesday’s Life.Style.Live! to share more about his journey.
“I’m honored to be representing all of Indiana, especially Gary in this competition. This is for all of the people back home who have inspired me over the years. I wouldn’t be here without the community that inspired and taught me all that I know about music and life.”
