Hendricks County Rib-Fest Adds Teen Activities to their Popular Festival on June 27
Could you smell the aroma of ribs on the grill this morning?! We sure did!
In it’s 11th year, the Hendricks County Rib-Fest promises more events and activities plus their famous ribs to round out the area’s summer tradition.The festival begins at 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 27 and includes rib vendors, live music on stage, a children’s area with games, Colts in Motion and Indiana Pacers Fan Van, a new Millennial Park designed by Avon High School DECA group and a new 5K Rib Run and Quarter Slab Run for the kids. ending at dusk with a fireworks show.
Organizers expect 7-8 local rib vendors including favorites such as Pit Stop BBQ & Grill, Longhorn Steakhouse, City Barbecue and Judge’s Bar-B-Que. In addition, Edible Arrangements will serve fruit smoothies, and local non-profit groups will be offering desserts such as strawberry shortcake and elephant ears. Admission is free. However, a $5 parking fee will be charged, and all food must be purchased.
