1 killed in shooting on northwest side

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A person is dead after a shooting on the city’s northwest side.

Officers were called to the 4600 block of Edwardian Circle in the Abington Apartments, near Interstate 65 and Georgetown Road, around 7:30 p.m. on a report of a person shot.

They arrived to find a person shot. The victim was taken to an area hospital in critical condition, according to IMPD. The victim later died at the hospital.

He has since been identified as 47-year-old Larry Cosby.

No information was released about the circumstances of the shooting.
