11-year-old boy in hospital after being struck by a car in Johnson County

FRANKLIN, Ind. (WISH) — An 11-year-old boy is in the hospital after being hit by a car in Johnson County. 

Deputies from the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office were called to the area of County Road 700 East and Division Road, near State Road 44 not far from the Shelby County line, around 6 p.m. Saturday on a report of a suspicious vehicle.

While a man and his 11-year-old son were outside their vehicle, the boy was struck by a vehicle driven by a 26-year-old Shelbyville woman. 

The boy was flown by medical helicopter to Riley Children’s Health in Indianapolis.   

The boy’s condition was not available on Saturday night.
