INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A warm start to the morning with temperatures in the upper 50s with a mostly cloudy sky. Most of the day will be a dry and warm one aside from an isolated shower chance for the afternoon.
The best chance for any showers will be late morning through early afternoon. Mid-afternoon clouds will thin, allowing for some sunshine with highs warming to the mid-70s. Lows Wednesday night will cool to the upper 50s to near 60 with shower and storm chances increasing after midnight.
Thursday will be a wet day with scattered showers and storms through the morning and afternoon. There is a low risk of seeing some stronger storms in western Indiana during the day with heavy rain and damaging winds as the main threat. Winds will crank up during the day as well with gusts reaching 30-35 mph. Highs will run a little bit cooler during the afternoon warming to the mid to upper 60s.
Scattered showers will stick around for the overnight hours and through the morning hours of Friday as a cold front stalls out in eastern Indiana. The cold front will shift winds to the NW Friday cooling temperatures to the 50s.
Easter weekend will be split. Saturday will be a cool and damp day with morning showers. Sunday will be a much better day with highs jumping to the lower 70s with lots of sunshine. Temperatures remain in the 70s to start the work week with a few chances of rain showers through Wednesday.
