Indianapolis Indians to host job fair at Victory Field

Indianapolis Indians look to fill seasonal positions

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Indianapolis Indians are getting ready to kickoff their 2020 season on the diamond, but first they have some jobs they want to fill.

The jobs they need to fill aren’t on the field — they’re for game day staff.

The team will host open interviews at Victory Field on Saturday to fill more than a dozen seasonal positions, including bat boys and girls, guest relations, bartenders and kitchen staff.

“We’re really excited about it,” said Randy Lewandowski, Indians president and general manager. “We know that when we start our open interviews that they’re an important part of what we do and important for the experience we want to create at Victory Field.”

“We’ll do in-person interviews with everybody that shows up and we want to get to know folks,” Lewandowski said. “If they take the time to come down here we’ll take the time to talk to them and see where they fit and match.”

“We consider Victory Field to be the best community gathering place in Downtown Indianapolis,” Lewandowski said.

The Victory Field parking lot will allow people to park for free on Saturday. Interviews are happening on the Impact Suite Level. Applicants must be at least 16 years old.

The team also has a new construction project that will be revealed to fans leading into opening day. The Indians’ season opener is set for Thursday, April 9.
