Columbus PD: 1 killed in I-65 crash
COLUMBUS, Ind. (WISH) – One person is dead following a crash on I-65 in Columbus Sunday evening, according to the Columbus Police Department.
Around 8:15 p.m., officers were called to I-65 NB near the 64.5-mile marker for a report of a crash.
Police said investigators determined that a 2001 Ford Ranger was headed north on I-65 when the vehicle hit several construction barrels and then a concrete barrier wall, which caused the truck to flip and land on its roof. During the crash, the driver of the Ranger was ejected from the truck.
The driver, Joseph Rodgers, 42, was pronounced dead at the scene.
