FFA convention to stay in Indy through 2024

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Those familiar blue jackets will return to Indianapolis.

The National FFA Youth Convention will stay in the Circle City for the next nine years. State leaders and the FFA announced details of the agreement Wednesday morning.

The state will contribute more than $4 million in incentives to keep the convention through 2024.

The conventions will be held each fall, beginning in 2016, and are expected to attract 60,000 visitors from across the country.

Spending on hotels, restaurants and other convention-related happenings is expected to have a $36 million annual economic impact on the city.
