INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Final Four was hosted in Indianapolis for the seventh time in April, and Indiana Sports Corp. is touting record-breaking numbers.

  • The Final Four Fan Fest had more than 76,832 people attend, which set an all-time record.
  • Northwestern Mutual Road to the Final Four 5K had 1,324 runners participate in the record-breaking run.
  • The JW Marriott bracket put the city in the Guinness World Record books for Largest Sports Tournament Bracket. The bracket covered 44,000 square-feet and measured 165 feet tall.
  • At the March Madness Music Festival 141,000 fans enjoyed the three-day event. It was the second-highest attended after the music festival in Atlanta, which drew 195,000 fans in 2013.

“Indianapolis has historically been an outstanding host for the Men’s Final Four and this year’s event certainly lived up to that standard,” said Dan Gavitt, the NCAA’s vice president for men’s basketball championships.
