FISHERS, Ind. (Inside INdiana Business) – Fishers-based Sustainable Projects Group Inc. has acquired the rights for Soy-Yer Dough, a Bloomfield-based producer of sustainable modeling dough. SPGX says the transaction gives it complete ownership of the brand’s marketing and distribution rights as well as all equipment and inventory.

Soy-Yer Dough is a gluten- and wheat-free, non-toxic, scented modeling playdough designed for children with allergies. The dough has been sold nationwide and internationally.

The company says the product line will operate under the name YER Brands Inc.

“We plan to shift production of Soy-Yer Dough to the Rushville facility we recently secured on behalf of Cormo USA, which will benefit both businesses by reducing overhead and consolidating sourcing, production, and distribution. SPGX looks forward to incorporating this well-known and proven brand into our portfolio to the next stage of Soy-Yer Dough’s growth as part of the SPGX family,” said Stefan Muehlbauer, chief executive officer of SPGX.

Current management and Soy-Yer Dough inventors Sawyer and Samantha Sparks will become chief executive officer and production activities lead, respectively, of YER Brands.

“We’ve come a long way from our early days on ABC’s Shark Tank, but it was important for us to find a partner who could help us reach a larger audience,” said Sawyer Sparks. “We’re excited to leverage the production and distribution expertise of SPGX so that many more children can enjoy this simple fun without any fears.”

The company says production will begin this month in Rushville.
