IMPD: Man detained after firing shots near downtown
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Indianapolis police say they had to use a stun gun on a man who fired several shots in the air late Wednesday night.
It happened just before midnight near the intersection of 9th and Delaware streets.
Officers say the man waved a pistol in the air before firing several shots. Police say they convinced the man to put the gun down.
After they used a stun gun on him, the man fell backward and hit his head. He was taken to a hospital.
It’s unclear if he’ll face any charges.
