‘In The Dark’ debuts

(WISH) — “In The Dark” debuts at 9 p.m. Thursday on WISH-TV.

The new CW show stars Perry Mattfeld (“Shameless”) as Murphy, a hard-drinking, promiscuous woman who is blind.

Murphy, with all her flaws, must learn to navigate outside her troubled little world when she becomes the only witness to the murder of her drug-dealing friend Tyson. Cops, however, don’t believe Murphy or her story.

So, she sets out in the hopes of solving the murder with her guide dog Pretzel. All the while, she tries to navigate a job she hates at a guide dog school, her questionable dating life, and a roommate who is overly protective.

The idea for the “In The Dark” series involving guide dogs came out of the network’s social program, CWGood, which partnered with Guide Dogs of America to sponsor litters of puppies to be trained as guide dogs.

The CW is consulting with guide dog experts on the “In The Dark” series.
