WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WISH) — Students at Purdue University’s West Lafayette campus will continue to see their tuition stay the same.

The university’s president, Mitch Daniels, announced Saturday that tuition levels will remain the same through 2021-22. Tuition at the campus has not increased since 2012, according to the university.

Purdue says affordability remains a focus for its students. According to the university, the number of students who graduated debt-free in 2018-19 is lower than the national average, with debt-free Purdue graduates clocking in at 59% compared to the 43% national average.

The university also touted the decrease in its annual student body’s borrowing by 33%.

Purdue released more statistics regarding its tuition freeze on the university’s website.
